New Hope Cemetery

This plot contains the graves of the family of Pleasant A. Curd, who was the grandfather-in-law of John C. Dutton.

The graves are: (front row, left to right) John C. Dutton (born Dec. 22, 1869, died June 7, 1915); Brint (Hackney) Dutton (born 15 Sep 1879, died 24 May 1939); (back row, left to right) Elmo T. Hackney (1878-1904); Pleasant A. Curd (born 23 Jan 1819, died 12 Nov 1897); infant child of Oscar T. and Nannie (Curd) Mathis.

Armenta Brint Hackney and Elmore (Elmo) T. Hackney were the children of Stephen Hackney and Nannie Curd. Nannie Curd was the daughter of Pleasant A. Curd. Following the death of Stephen Hackney, Nannie Curd married Oscar T. Mathis. Armenta Brint Hackney married John C. Dutton.
